SHERI CAMERON

Sheri Cameron Candidate for Local 4092 Vice President;
I am offering myself as a candidate for Local 4092 Vice President once again.  I have been working in the Local since 2007 and have become very familiar with the Collective agreement and the on-going day to day issues that arise for the Flight Attendants.  After almost 40 years of serving in the union in various positions you always hope that you will leave a workplace with improved benefits and working conditions compared to when you started.  While I have seen many significant improvements in Health and Safety, Benefits, Human Rights and basic work rules since the 1970's, I can see the last decade has brought major challenges to workers as government legislation along with an aggressive Corporate drive for profits through cut backs are trying to  unravel unions.  I am a senior resource with a long history in the Labour movement and I am willing to remain involved to support the new generation of union volunteers as they develop strategies for future state of readiness.  The team I am running with have shown their commitment by volunteering and continuing to increase their involvement and union education in order to prepare for resistance of further attacks. Please find out as much as you can about all candidates and participate in the election.
